Introduction to Elite Alternatives

Elite Alternatives is an Equal Opportunity Employer. While Carol Jones personally procures candidate interviews for Elite Families, a few minimum qualifications must be met by all Elite Candidates:

US citizen, or valid work permit

  • Current State of Texas Driver License
  • Relevant job specific references
  • Reliable transportation

If you meet the above minimum qualifications, Carol Jones would be delighted to speak with you about future opportunities with our wonderful Elite Families. This is a permanent placement agency only, interviews will be held in person and/or we may have a Skype interview prior to an interview. Please feel free to load a photo along with your qualifications.

Once you’ve connected with Carol, a resume and cover letter to your prospective Elite Family will be requested. Next, a completed Elite Alternatives application may prompt an in-person interview, should your qualifications and personality match with our mission. Once you’ve personally met Carol, and upon your written consent, the following checks will be performed at no cost to our candidates:

  • National criminal background check
  • Department of Motor Vehicles record check
  • Psychological screening
  • Drug test
  • Communicable disease screening, such as: Tuberculosis, Hepatitis C, HIV
  • Current immunization record verification, to include: TdaP, MMR

Historically, Elite Candidates who possess the below qualifications are quickly selected by our Elite Families. This is simply a sampling of what Elite Families in Texas seem to value, and not requirements for application with Elite Alternatives:

  • Higher education degree and/or training in relatable field
  • Letters of reference from previous employers
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Early Childhood Education coursework / continuing education
  • Bilingual or multilingual
  • Ability to prepare healthy snacks and meals for children
  • History of volunteerism in the community
  • Energetic, kind, happy personality
  • Experience with family pets
  • Skillful swimmer with knowledge of water safety
  • Willingness to perform light housekeeping duties, as related to children
